National Day of Prayer

Edit!

Official Start April 17, 1952, proclaimed by President Truman

Extra information

Today, we celebrate the first amendment of the Constitution with a National Day of Prayer. We take time out of our schedule to be thankful that we have the freedom to be able to celebrate religion and openly pray, two things that are not guaranteed throughout parts of the world.
